Dr. Elisabeth Zottl, MIM joined ARTUS in 2023 and is the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Lead and therefore specialized in Sustainability & ESG Advisory Services.
She comes from the southern part of Lower Austria, during and after graduating from the Federal Commercial Academy in Baden and her studies in International Business Administration at the University of Economics and Business Administration she spent a lot of time abroad in Spain, Ecuador, among others. For her dissertation, also at he University of Economics and Business Administration ,she chose a mixed-method approach with a qualitative impact study among Peruvian coffee farmers and the implementation of a quantitative field experiment in an international coffee house chain at a Vienna location. She started her career managing EU projects for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and then joined the audit team of a large Italian systemic bank, for which she worked for more than 9 years in different European locations in investment banking, risk management and compliance.
There she was responsible for the execution of international projects and the implementation of regulatory requirements. Her background in international banking and insurance combined with a holistic approach to new issues enables her to look at the topic of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) in a special way and to apply it to concrete entrepreneurial circumstances, whereby the mitigation of risks and the exploration of potential promotions in the respective entrepreneurial context are always of great concern to her.
