He was born in 1963 in Graz, where he also graduated in law. In 1995 he was appointed as a tax advisor, and in 2000 he was appointed as a certified public accountant. He has extensive experience in auditing both individual and consolidated financial statements of national and international companies and worked for more than 30 years in an international auditing firm.

Walter Krainz is a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Certified Public Accountants (KSW), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IWP), and the Federation of Austrian Industries. Furthermore, he is a member of the Expert Senate for Corporate Law and Auditing of the KSW. He was a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna and gives lectures at various universities and universities of applied sciences. In addition to the efficient structuring of audits, young entrepreneurs are also close to his heart, where he provides support in various advisory boards. His interests include family and sports activities as well as traveling and good food.
